Chimney Rebuild
Some chimneys pass the point where repair is honest advice: bricks spalling through their faces, mortar gone to sand course after course, a stack that leans against the skyline. Rebuilding takes it down to sound structure and raises it right.
Partial rebuilds: from the roofline up
Weather kills chimneys from the top: the crown fails first, then the top courses soak and shatter through freeze cycles. If the lower stack is sound, we rebuild from the damage line up — very commonly roofline-up — reusing or matching brick, recasting the crown properly. Most DFW rebuilds are this scope, and cost far less than owners fear.
Full rebuilds: when the structure says so
A lean, deep cracking through multiple courses, or failed corbeling means the stack comes down to sound base — sometimes to the firebox. We rebuild with proper flue lining, weather-resistant joints, and a crown that won’t repeat history. The before/after photos on this page are exactly that story.
What decides partial vs full
The structural assessment: we probe mortar depth, map the spalling, and check plumb. You see the evidence and both quotes — the honest line between them is measurements, not sales targets.

Common Questions
My chimney leans a little. Is that automatic full rebuild?
Not always — a lean from a failed top course is partial scope; a lean from the base is structural. The plumb-line measurement and footing check decide, and we show you both numbers.
Can you match 1970s brick that's discontinued?
Usually within a course or two of invisible — reclaimed brick yards in DFW carry most legacy runs, and mortar tinting does the rest. Worst case, we rebuild the visible faces with reclaimed and the hidden faces with new.
