Chimney Siding & Framing Repair
Framed chimney chases — the siding-clad towers on most newer DFW homes — rot from the top down. A failed chase cover or open siding seam lets water into the framing, and by the time the outside looks bad, the inside has usually been wet for years.
More than a cosmetic fix
We open up what’s failed, assess how far moisture traveled, and rebuild from sound wood out: framing members sistered or replaced, sheathing renewed, then siding matched to the house. Painting over soft siding is the repair that isn’t — we don’t do it.
The top of the chase decides everything
Almost every rotted chase traces to water entering up top — a rusted-through chase cover or an uncapped gap at the flue penetration. The repair always includes fixing that source, usually with a stainless cover, or the new wood starts the same clock.

Common Questions
The siding looks fine but the chase sounds hollow when tapped. Bad sign?
A change in sound can mean detached or damp sheathing behind. Worth a look — catching it early can keep the repair on the surface.
Do you match Hardie and older wood sidings?
Yes — fiber cement, lap wood, and most profiles common in DFW subdivisions. Where a profile is discontinued we get the closest match and align the courses so the repair doesn’t read.
